Conversations with my father
For the last 3-4 months, I have been keeping two jobs. One at SlideShare, building awesome products and the other at Qreoh, my passion. Over the same period I have been also suffering from some health issues. So, after 4 months, I decided I had to take a break or end up having a breakdown of sorts. For me, the perfect break is always with my parents in my hometown - Bagdogra.
After months, I got to have a decent conversation with my father, whom I lovingly call Baba. Following is part of the conversation which I had.
Me: You still haven’t taken the break you said you would.
Baba: I just don’t get time. I have so much work.
Me: Why do you work so hard then, you don’t need to. You have made enough money to take care of everyone for rest of your life.
Baba: So? There is no correlation. I work because I work. I do it for I have to do it. Work is work. And work is my worship. If I am doing it, I do my best, else whats the point of putting any effort at all.
Me: Okay! You are the one who poisoned me. :D
We are so much like our parents than we realize and so much lucky that we were shaped my them.
